Chapter 4 Notes
- Turtle went into the Westing mansion. She was able to stay in the mansion for 12 minutes.
- Turtle saw a corpse of a man in a bed and heard someone whisper, "Pur-Ple" (or Tur-Tle).
- Next day, the front of the newspaper reports that Samuel W Westing was found dead but doesn't say how.
- Otis Amber delivered 16 invitations, from lawyer E.J Plum, to the reading of Mr. Westing will.
Chapter 5 Notes
- At the reading of the will, Turtle realized that Sam Westing is who she saw in the the Westing house.
- Graced is surprised by the collection of heirs, and assumes they are all former employees.
- Sydelle walks in with a purple crutch and a purple dress (purple waves, Turtle thinks)
- Dr. Deere notices that Sydelle is limping on different legs.
Chapter 6 Notes
- E.J Plum reads the Westing's will.
- All 16 heirs are Westing's nieces and nephews.
- Westing's life was taken by one of the heirs and he knows who.
- Sydelle takes notes during the reading of the will.
